For Sellers
Seller Policies
These policies keep ModsMarketplace trustworthy for BMW buyers and sellers. By listing a part, you agree to follow them.
Last updated: July 18, 2026
Seller Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, have a verified ModsMarketplace account, and legally own or be authorized to sell any part you list. Commercial sellers and shops are welcome but must identify themselves honestly.
Accurate Listing Requirements
Every listing must describe the part honestly and completely. You are responsible for the accuracy of the brand, condition, BMW fitment, part numbers and included components.
- State the true condition — new, like-new, used or refurbished — and disclose every known defect, repair or missing piece.
- Use a clear, descriptive title. Do not stuff titles with keywords or make claims the part cannot support.
- Select the correct category and BMW chassis, model and year range. Do not use broad year ranges that extend beyond the actual fitment.
- Do not describe a part as “genuine OEM” without providing a BMW part number or identifying photos.
Photo Requirements
- Upload at least one clear, well-lit photo of the actual item for sale. Stock or catalog images are not acceptable as the primary photo.
- Include close-ups of part numbers, stamps, labels, serial numbers and any damage or repairs when relevant.
- For wheels, carbon fiber and body panels, include the category-specific close-ups requested during listing creation.
- Do not edit or filter photos in a way that hides defects or misrepresents condition.
Ownership Requirements
You must own or be authorized to sell every item you list. Stolen property, property with a lien, or parts you do not have physical possession of are prohibited. ModsMarketplace may request proof of ownership for high-value or verification-flagged listings.
Prohibited Items
- Stolen property or property with unclear title.
- Counterfeit parts, counterfeit BMW logos or trademark-infringing branding.
- Items that are illegal to sell or ship in your jurisdiction.
- Firearms, hazardous materials, fluids or anything prohibited by carrier policy.
- Listings created solely to direct buyers off-platform.
Counterfeit and Replica Rules
Counterfeit parts are strictly prohibited. Aftermarket and replica parts are permitted only when honestly labeled.
- Replica or non-OEM parts must be clearly marked as “Replica” or “Non-OEM” in the title and part-type field.
- Replica listings may not use BMW logos or counterfeit branding where unlawful or misleading.
- Replica listings cannot receive an authenticity-verification badge.
- Genuine OEM claims require a BMW part number or identifying photos.
Fitment Responsibilities
BMW fitment is technical and mistakes are costly. You must indicate whether a part is a direct fit, fits with modification, is universal, or has unknown fitment, and provide an honest explanation when modification is required. Seller-provided fitment is never automatically treated as verified by ModsMarketplace.
Shipping Responsibilities
If your listing offers shipping, you are responsible for packing the item safely, providing a tracking number, and shipping within the handling time you state. See our Shipping policy for packaging standards, oversized items and recommended insurance.
Communication Standards
Keep all communication on ModsMarketplace. Be responsive, respectful and honest. Do not harass buyers, post abusive messages, or share private contact information in listings.
Off-Platform Transaction Rules
Stay on the platform
Enforcement and Account Consequences
ModsMarketplace may remove listings, decline verification, limit offers and messaging, suspend accounts, or ban sellers who violate these policies. Repeated or serious violations may result in permanent removal. Sellers may appeal enforcement actions by contacting ModsMarketplace support.
